Re-Invest In Education
Returning to an America of opportunity means making sure affordable healthcare and a good education are rights, not privileges. As a mother, Jane knows education isn't just about teaching kids, it's about shaping lives. Jane will focus on giving teachers the resources they need, and pay in line with the importance of their work.
Jane will also provide incentives for good teachers who choose to relocate to struggling schools. However, that is not enough. We must increase teacher salaries across the board in order to recruit and retain the best teachers and the brightest young minds. We must look at innovative ways to make college more affordable for those who would like to become teachers.
As our Congresswoman, Jane will make education a priority so that our most vital resource - our children - receive a quality education, allowing them to compete in an increasingly competitive global environment.
Jane believes that a major investment in upgrading school facilities should be a national priority. We must replace crumbling buildings and overcrowded classrooms with vibrant centers of learning. This is an important investment in the future of America.
